At Levande North Lakes, the indoor pool is an important part of everyday life providing residents with a space to relax, stay active, and connect with their community.
With the pool area surrounded by hard tiled surfaces, Levande needed a solution that would help residents feel more confident moving through the space while improving safety underfoot.
PROJECT NEED:
Wet tiled surfaces can create challenges in any pool environment, but for retirement communities, reducing slip risks is especially important.
Residents often access the pool area barefoot and may not always have their usual mobility supports with them. The solution needed to provide reliable grip, handle constant moisture, and cover a large area without introducing additional trip hazards.
It also needed to deliver a practical, cost-effective solution that would perform long term.
OUR SOLUTION:
The Mat Group supplied SpiralLoop matting to create a safer transition across the pool surrounds.
More than 30 metres of SpiralLoop was installed throughout the required areas, with our installer completing the cutting and edging onsite to ensure the mat followed the space accurately.
This tailored approach provided a secure fit, helping minimise movement, gaps, and potential trip points while delivering a durable surface designed for wet environments.
