What Is Coir?

Coir is the extracted fibre from the husk of coconuts (also known as coconut fibre).

Advantages Of Coir Fibre

Coir is extremely durable, which makes it great for door mats. Coir fibre is generally considered to be an eco-friendly, natural, sustainable and environmentally friendly  material.

Coir fibre is:

  • Resilient - one of the toughest fibres on earth, coir returns to its original shape over and over
  • Durable - is resistant to rot and mould
  • Sustainable - is made from the part of the coconut which would otherwise be a waste product
  • Biodegradable - Despite being so tough, coir is a natural product that is 100% biodegradable
